Produced by what was the world’s largest automaker in the 1970s, General Motors entered into the motorhome business with a striking set of designs using the G M C brand. Featuring a unique front-wheel drive layout and the use of aluminum, the G M C Class A motorhomes entered production for the 1973 model year. After about 13,000 examples built, the final G M C motorhomes were produced in 1978. Following its production run, the G M C motorhomes continue to enjoy a strong cult support.
