Operating as Irwin for many years prior to 1992, American Cruising Yacht Company was founded when Bill Symons bought the sailing yacht producer. Building some grand-sized sailboats offering an excellent weekend getaway, American Cruising Yacht also produced a small catamaran vessel for very stable traveling. American Cruising Yacht Company went out of business after just one year of existence.
