Based in Bellingham, Washington, Nordic Yachts would produce watercraft from 1980 until the 1989 model. Constructing vessels created from the sketch board of well-accredited marine designer Robert Perry, the Nordic 40 and Nordic 44 were fiberglass cruising sailboats that also offered accommodations suitable for long vacations offshore. Exclusively based around sailing yachts initially, Nordic Yachts added a 48 and 52-foot motor yacht starting from the 1985 model year.
